TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Inclusions:
VAT, first additional driver, carbon emissions tax, super damage waiver, super theft or loss waiver, airport surcharge, location surcharge, *Unlimited kilometres* tourism levy.
Upon collection of the rental car, the driver / renter must be in possession of a valid and unendorsed driver’s license (in country of residence)
Policies:
30% of the rental amount will be charged upon cancellation before the collection date.
Cancellation on the day of the pick up 50% of the rental amount will be charged.
The driver’s license must have been valid for a minimum period of 5 years. The minimum age for drivers is 25 years. In the event of the driver being between 23 and 25 years a young driver surcharge per day will apply.
Cross Border Rent
No cross border rentals are allowed from South Africa to Malawi, Angola or Zambia, even if returning to South Africa.
Please Note:
No vehicles are permitted to enter Zimbabwe or Mozambique.
Renters wishing to enter Botswana, Swaziland, Lesotho or Namibia must be in possession of a letter of authority obtainable from an Europcar / Avis Car Hire location at time of rental,
An additional cross border fee will be charged as follows:
ZAR 1600 (incl tax) into Swaziland, Lesotho, Namibia and Botswana
Cross border to Namibia is permitted at an additional cost of NAD 180.00 road tax fee (to be paid at the Namibian border), if driving a non-Namibian vehicle.
When crossing the border into Swaziland, a road tax fee of ZAR 50.00 will be charged at the border for all cars with a foreign licence plate.
